Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Anthea Toft, author of Beneath Safer Skies, who has sadly passed away.
 
She will be remembered fondly, and she lives on in print through her charming memoir of a childhood spent on a rural Shropshire farm as a wartime evacuee.

When he stumbled upon a long-neglected, overgrown lake holding some monster carp, Chris Yates knew that he had discovered the kind of place about which every carp angler dreams. He set about trying to catch the huge, elusive inhabitants with rod and line.
