The Scottish Wild Cat

The Scottish Wildcat by Christopher Clegg

Britain's most endangered mammal.

Did you know that the eyes of a Scottish wildcat are about seven times more sensitive than those of humans and this allows them to see better during the hours of twilight and night time when they hunt and explore.

Wildcats are crepusular and often sleep during the day.
